Sometimes you have to say goodbye to someone you love to start a new journey in life. This was the case in 2018 when I commissioned my dream bass from the masterly luthier Nick Lloyd. It meant having to say goodbye to the bass I grew up with – it felt weird and cynical, but also necessary in some way. At the end I was just thankful for all of the things we had been through, and excited for things to come!
